I did not spe­cial­ly improve any­thing, did not suf­fo­cate and did not change the screws. I have a boat for fish­ing, not for rac­ing. The motor is now “Yama­ha 8”. The max­i­mum speed in still water of my set “Com­pass-400” + “Yama­ha 9.9GMHS” (fla­vored at 15 hp) with me (76kg) + 24l tank turned out to be 49.5km / h. With “Tohat­su 18” — 51–52km / h. These speeds are more impor­tant to me for rac­ing. When fish­ing, the high speed of the kit allows you to keep a good cruis­ing speed with an eco­nom­i­cal engine oper­a­tion mode (3/4 gas). It turns out fuel econ­o­my, high­er trav­el radius.


What is the best col­or for fish­ing?

The ques­tion “which boat to choose” con­cerns not only the tech­ni­cal side, but also the visu­al one. For fish­ing this is very impor­tant. If your mod­el is paint­ed in acid col­ors and looks like a life raft, you can for­get about catch­ing cau­tious preda­tors such as wall­eye. A sus­pi­cious fish sim­ply does not want to approach defi­ant­ly bright objects. That is why while fish­ing you need to remain as incon­spic­u­ous and secre­tive as pos­si­ble.
