Heated floors Devi

Whether you are furnishing a new apartment or renovating an old one, or designing a country house, underfloor heating is one of the most efficient and economical solutions for primary and secondary heating. The Danish company Devi offers several heating options for any floor covering. At all stages of repair, you can make a warm floor for laminate, ceramic or porcelain tiles, as well as mount the floor heating system directly into the screed. What underfloor heating to choose and what are the advantages of Devi products, we will consider below.

Warm floors Devi: heating mats

Devi has developed special thin heating mats Devimat for the reconstruction of the floor surface with a minimum building height. Since they are only 3–5 mm thick (including tile mastic), the floor level will rise to a minimum height. Most often, this type of underfloor heating is used in kitchens and bathrooms under ceramic tiles, but this cable system can be used in any room during renovation. They can be installed in adhesive mastic over old tiling, wood or concrete floors, making it much easier installation process at any stage of the renovation.

Types of Devi heating mats

  • Devimat DSVF — shielded single-core heating mat with two cold ends. This type of underfloor heating is suitable for repairing thin floors with installation in adhesive mastic under the tiles.
  • Devimat DTIF — shielded two-core heating mat with one cold end with a Teflon-insulated cable. This option is recommended for repairing thin floors with under-tile installation in tile adhesive.
  • Devimat DTIR – self-adhesive heating mat with one cold end. Such a warm floor is excellent for repairing floors with installation in adhesive mastic under the tile.

Devimat warm floors are available in two power options. 100 W/m2 — suitable in most cases for comfortable heating of the floor surface in the presence of insulation in the floor construction. Such characteristics of a warm floor are recommended as a maximum for wooden floors. Devi warm floors with a power of 150 W/m2 are designed specifically for installation in rooms located in a region with winter temperatures below ‑10°C. Heating mats of this power are recommended for use in case of poor insulation of the building or if the floor is without an insulator (for example, a warm room below). Can be used in rooms cluttered with furniture.

Underfloor heating Devi: cable systems

The device of the system with a heating cable Deviflex involves the construction of the floor with the pouring of a cement-sand screed. When used with thin flooring systems, it should be taken into account that this option will raise the level of the floor (including tile mastic) by about 15–20 mm. Cable systems Deviflex work effectively under any type of flooring, including laminate, carpet and linoleum, provided that the screed layer is at least 30 mm.

Types of heating cables Devi

  • Deviflex DSIG — shielded single-core cable with two cold ends for installation in the floor structure indoors, outdoors, pipe heating, etc.

  • Deviflex DTIP — shielded two-core cable with one cold end for indoor and outdoor installation. It is used in concrete floors, as well as to protect outdoor areas from snow and ice freezing, to protect pipes from freezing, etc.

Devi warm floors will help you out at any stage of repair. If you are just planning to start leveling the floor, then you can think about additional heating for your house or apartment using Devi heating cables. And if you have already finished repairing the floor, but you still want to put a warm floor under the kitchen tiles, choose the appropriate option among Devi heating mats.
