The best panel heating radiators 2022

A panel radiator is a heating device consisting of panels inside which a coolant circulates. The panels are profiled plates, interconnected by welding.

A panel radiator can not be connected to every heating system, as it is not able to withstand high pressure. The maximum threshold is only 10 atmospheres (atm) ≈ 10.1325 bar. For example, for bimetallic devices, this figure can reach up to 35 atm. Perhaps this is the biggest drawback of panel radiators.

As for the advantages, this includes a small amount of water used, which allows for rapid heat exchange between the energy carrier and the air in the room. The heat transfer coefficient is much higher than most analogues. Also, the advantages should be added to the optimal cost and low weight. The latter factor greatly facilitates the installation of the radiator. To date, there are several varieties of such batteries.

How to choose a panel heating radiator

Before buying such a panel radiator, you need to take into account many nuances, since this equipment has its own specifics. To understand all the nuances, Komsomolskaya Pravda turned to the founder of the Teplostroy-NN Group of Companies, Vadim Sautenkov.

Aluminum radiators

These radiators are a great alternative to old cast iron radiators.

Device type

As we wrote earlier, today in most cases three types of panel radiators are used: 11, 22 and 33. In the first case, this is a device that consists of one panel, without casings and an upper grille. In the second — a panel radiator, which consists of two panels connected to each other by pipes, and closed by a casing. In the third — with three panels.

The choice between one or another type of device should be based on the calculation of the area of the room. Yes, on one square meter need about 100w power. You should also take into account the presence of windows in the room (+100 W for each) and the presence of an external door (+200 W). In addition, the dimensions of the device must be equal to at least 80% of the width of the window opening.

Marking

When choosing a radiator, be sure to pay attention to the markings. The first digit after the name indicates the height, the second — the width of the device, and the third — the number of sections.

Installation method

Before buying, be sure to pay attention to which installation method is provided by the manufacturer. So, most models are mounted on the wall, but there are exceptions when the radiator is installed on the floor on special legs. Some manufacturers provide both options.

Economic heaters

It is necessary to take into account not only the power, but the efficiency of the device

Limit operating temperature

An important factor is the limiting temperature of the heater. In some radiators, it is 80–90 degrees Celsius. For regions with extreme temperature differences, this will not be enough. You should pay attention to those models that maintain temperatures up to 100–110 degrees.

Guarantee period

The average warranty period for such devices is 7–10 years. This figure is considered the most optimal.
